Remembering the Witch Within: Scorpio Energy and the Light in the Dark

In nature, Scorpio season is the time of release – the trees surrender their leaves, trusting that what falls becomes nourishment for what’s to come. The air itself seems alive with transformation. The veil thins. The unseen becomes felt. Endings make way for new life.

Scorpio calls us into depth, intimacy, and rebirth. It asks us to meet ourselves in truth, to release what no longer serves, and to reclaim our power from the shadows. It’s the energy of magic, mystery, and alchemy – where we are invited to live with awareness, courage, and compassion.

And maybe that’s what being a witch is really about.

Although witches may be synonymous with Halloween, being a witch isn’t a costume – or something we do once a year.

It’s a way of seeing. A way of listening. A way of living in right relationship with both the unseen and the everyday.

The word witch comes from wicce – wise woman.

To be a witch is to know, trust, and honor your own wisdom.

To listen to your intuition as sacred.

To let your lived experience be your holy book.

Witches have always been healers, truth-tellers, earth-keepers, and boundary-walkers. We are the ones who remember – and remind the world that everything is connected.

There isn’t an amount of witch you have to be.

You don’t have to look the part or cast a spell to be a witch.

Being a witch is about awareness, intention, and power – standing at Source in your life. It’s remembering that you are the magic.

Scorpio energy embodies that truth. It isn’t about living in the shadows; it’s about illuminating them. It’s the light that sees through illusion, the courage to face what’s so, and the willingness to alchemize pain into empowerment.

Astrology reveals where this work – and this potential – live within us.

Where Scorpio lives in your chart, that part of life is naturally more intense; it carries stories of reclamation, courage, and renewal.

Life invites you to meet intensity with awareness – to explore the depths of surrender, power, and regeneration.

This season, I’ve been deep in reflection – with the Sun moving through the 12th house in both my chart and Cervine Space’s. It’s a tender, inward time before my birthday each year: a season of dissolution and dreaming, of letting go of what’s complete so that I can be reborn into what’s next.

Allowing what’s ready to fall, to fall.

One of my favorite lessons from studying astrology is this: I don’t have to fight where I am in the cycle. I can honor my own rhythm, tune into my intuition, and let the next version of myself take form.

I’m reminded again that surrender isn’t giving up; it’s trusting the wheel to keep turning.

That transformation isn’t punishment; it’s initiation.

And that magic isn’t separate from life – it is life.

In every age, witches have carried the medicine of remembering.

Remember your magic.

Remember you are magic.

If you’re feeling the pull to understand yourself more deeply – to get in tune with your rhythm and cycles, and to reclaim your power and harness the magic moving through your life – I’d love to explore your chart with you.

🔮 Book an astrology session – Over Zoom from anywhere in the world, or in person at Inner Light Crystals on Thursday, November 6 – the day before my birthday.
