Astrology Is Political

We cannot separate astrology from life.

And like it or not,
we cannot separate life from politics.

Politics is how we make the rules for government and society.
How we navigate and shape the world we live in.

There wasn’t a single moment that radicalized me.
I was born a humanitarian
to a long line of radicals and freedom fighters.

I am a direct descendant of John Adams and John Quincy Adams.

My father spent his life protecting astrologers’ rights—
overturning outdated laws,
offering pro bono support,
and defending our ability to practice in peace.

Once upon a time,
I thought I might grow up to be
a lawyer.
Or a senator.
Or even president.

Not because I craved power.
But because I’ve always wanted to make the world better.

Eventually, I found my way to that
through astrology.

Astrology is a language for life.

It includes all of life.

It gives us words for what’s alive
in us and around us—

the personal,
the collective,
the cosmic tide of evolution.

The founding ideals of this country —
life, liberty, and justice for all
have always felt self-evident to me.

Even though we’ve failed to live them fully,
again and again,
they are still my stand
for this country and for the world.

We all get to be who we are.
We all deserve to be supported, encouraged, and celebrated.

That’s a value woven into this practice.
And into this space.

Politics is how we make the rules.
Astrology reveals the energy at play.

It shows us power, revolution, and rebirth.
It helps us reclaim choice —
especially when the world tells us we don’t have one.

Here at Cervine Space,
we make room for all of it—

light and shadow,
grief and hope,
vision and action.

We care about healing not just ourselves,
but the world.

We remember our magic.
We remember our power.
And we call the world into being.

I’ve been wanting to write this post for a long time.

I come from a legacy of public service, activism, and protection of the sacred.
My father defended astrologers’ rights.
My ancestors helped found this country.
And I’ve always believed in justice, dignity, and the right for each of us to live fully as who we are.

Astrology is political. Astrology is life. And life is political.

Astrology doesn’t just speak to our inner lives — it mirrors the outer world too.
It reveals patterns of power, revolution, and rebirth.
It helps us reclaim choice — in the face of everything that tells us we don’t have one.

In a world that tries to deny your power…
that’s revolutionary.

This is Pluto in Aquarius.
Power to the people — and the reminder that the people are more powerful than the people in power.

This space — Cervine Space — exists to hold it all:
the personal, the political, the magical, the mundane.

If you care about healing not just yourself, but the world…
this space is for you.
